A strict visitor registration system and controlled access points help protect the school community, limiting entry to authorized guests and fostering a safe, orderly setting for students and families.

Clear online safety protocols guide responsible digital behaviour, reduce exposure to online risks and reinforce a culture of respect and wellbeing across all school platforms.

Background checks

All staff, volunteers and teachers undergo rigorous vetting and 10-year background checks, renewed every two years, safeguarding students through high standards of trust, professionalism and accountability.

Safeguarding training

Rowntree maintains rigorous safeguarding standards and annual training for all staff, building shared expertise that strengthens daily practice and nurtures a consistently safe learning environment.

Culture of care

Trained parent volunteers and co-op students enrich the school’s culture of care and accountability, deepening connections between home and school while modelling positive engagement for students.
