Field trips are an integral and enjoyable part of Rowntree Montessori Schools curriculum and therefore participation is expected. All trips are selected on the basis of combining fun activities with learning experiences. Trips are aimed to meet and/or complement the expectations set out in the Ontario Curriculum. Our students participate in excursions such as the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Ontario Science Center, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, McMichaels Art Gallery, the Metro Toronto Zoo, and many others. Our students also get to know their city better by participating in local events, meeting Brampton artisans, or visiting sites such as the Heritage Theatre and the Heritage Complex. On average one field trip is planned per month. We always welcome parent volunteers, following a police check clearance from their local police station.
