Rowntree Montessori Schools are registered independent schools and follow the Ontario Curriculum (2001) and expectations set forth by the Ministry of Education.

Through individualized programmes, skills building, small sized classes and close monitoring of students’ progress, each child can achieve and surpass the required expectations for their grade level.

The Academy programmes are designed to meet and surpass the achievement levels of the Ontario Curriculum (2001) in all of its areas. Our programmes set high standards especially in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Information Technology, Physical Education and Arts and Music. Early introduction of some aspects of the curriculum as well as addressing the learning needs and styles of individual students enable them to excel in different areas of strengths and even work at a higher grade level.

The RMS High School programme is designed for the students to meet and surpass the Ontario Secondary School Diploma requirements and to ensure that the needs and interests of students as well as Grade 9 and 10 requirements of post-secondary institutions are fulfilled. High school credits are granted in accordance with Ministry of Education expectations.
