Mr. D. Montgomery graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours Degree. He obtained his teaching certification in Australia where he specialized in Physical Education and Geography. His academic background also includes Kinesiology as well as 10 years of coaching and instructing experience. He holds a National Coaching Certification Program [NCCP] Level I and brings to RMS coaching experience at the Elementary and High School level from ages 4-18.
He believes that physical education provides choice, challenge, and change in every student. He emphasizes a healthy active living that encompasses physical activity and well-thought lifestyle choices. His goal is to help each student acquire the knowledge they need through a variety of health related topics. He is dedicated to challenging each student's understanding, so that the student and athlete will work as one prospering on both sides of the life-long learning spectrum. Mr. Montgomery oversees all sports teams, including competitions/sporting events in the SSAF (Small Schools Athletic Federation).
